Western Digital TV HD Media Player

Western Digital released the TV HD media player.  It can play movies, photos, music from a USB drive in wonderful 1080p resolution.  The price is reasonable at $130.  This doesn’t fit my needs since it has no network streaming but someone like my mom could benefit from a ease of use device.

Supported Media Formats

Do WD multimedia players play DIVX movies ???

Yes it will play DIVX. Should give you full control, ff, rewind, stop and play. There are some older DIVX files that might have problems with ff and rewind but it’s unlikely that you will run into that. I haven’t tested the WD TV or the WD TV Live so I’m going off things I have read. You can get the WD TV Live for $119 on Amazon so I would go for that one over the original.
