The problem is the WDTV doesn’t recognize any of the usb Wireless dongles I have. I will only work with the dongles listed by WD, with the revision number as listed. Most of those are out of date and are no longer on the market.
With none of the dongles I have, I’ve even had the choise of choosing “wireless” in the network setup.

Not sure what troubleshooting steps you have taken but I would set a DHCP reservation on your router. That way every time it boots up it will get the same IP and other devices on the network won’t have the ability to take it. I have about 30 devices on my network and sometimes they would fight over a IP. I set them all as reservations and everything works great now.

I have had it for a couple of weeks now, and it would be a great device if the WiFi-part wasn’t as crappy as it is.
It’s hardly impossible to find a USB wireless adapter that will work. Most of the approved sticks are older versions, no longer available. I haven’t been able to find one yet.
Not the way to go for a large company like WD.
