Review: Moxi HD DVR

The Moxi HD DVR hasn’t been on the market for very long and reviews are starting to come out. Gizmodo reviewed the unit and said it’s better than the cable companies DVR. But it still doesn’t beat out TiVo. While the interface on the Moxi unit looks really slick it’s software is still a little buggy. My main reason for interest in Moxi was the add on services through PlayOn, which comes bundled with the unit. This will allow you to stream from different sources of web content like youtube and Hulu. The upfront price of $799 is hard to take, but it can be broken into smaller payments. I’m just glad there is competition to push the technology for cable, TiVo and Satellite.
