Microsoft Posted Digital CableCard FAQ

Microsoft posted a FAQ page on Digital Cable and Windows Media Center. SDV support will only work with Windows 7 but other enhancements will work in Windows Vista. The 1.19.12 firmware update will be available on October 22nd with the release of Windows 7. There is also going to be a program released to test your machines ability to handle CableCard. The FAQ might not answer all your questions but it’s a good start, especially since it’s ahead of the Windows 7 launch.
