Home Theater for $1000

If your interested in putting together a Home Theater to go along with your new HDTV then head over to electronic house for a nice post on what equipment to look at. They have some good information for the beginners along with explanations of why you should buy certain things.

Still, it takes a doubling of wattage to produce a noticeable increase in volume, so don’t sweat the difference between, say, 80W and 100W, as you really won’t hear the difference. Most of the time your system will be putting out much less than its rated power anyway.

So don’t always look at that cheap amp that says it does 1000W and think it’s a good deal.
