We all knew it was coming and tomorrow is the day Hulu arrives on the Xbox 360. As a bonus if you are a Xbox Live Gold member you will get a week of viewing for free. I posted the demo video and the features list below.

There is some interesting information in the teardown like 2 sensors that monitor depth and 1 sensor that does facial recognition. There are also 4 microphones inside. That’s impressive for such a small device. Still wish Kinect would have been wireless. But that might be another accessory down the road.

Lots of new things came out at E3. First they launched the new look of the Xbox 360 with slimmer size, bigger hard drive and wireless. It was time for them to refresh the look and I think it looks really good.

Second they announced Kinect, which was called project natal. I had mixed feelings about Kinect and how it would be different than a Wii setup. Well they showed that it’s more than just a motion control and might actually get me to buy an Xbox 360. Not only will Kinect allow you to control games but allows for video chat and voice control. The price isn’t bad either at $149 or $399 for the Elite bundle. The one issue that bothers me is the USB connection. With so many people hanging TVs I would have rather seen a wireless connection for Kinect. Unless I missed something it looks like it’s only USB.

You should be able to access, share and stream media directly to their console from any local or remotely located Pogoplug. Not a bad addition to for the device. The update also allows you to do offsite backups.

I’m not much of a gamer but the Spawn Labs HD-720 looks pretty cool. It’s like a slingbox for your video games. It’s not cheap at $200 but if you really have to have your video games this might be a solution for you. You can buy adapters for Xbox 360, PS3 and some others for $40 a piece.

Walmart is also doing this offer starting today. If you have been waiting to get the Xbox 360 this is probably as cheap as your going to get. It’s only the arcade version but when you get the $100 gift card you can use it to by the accessories. I’m not sure how long this is going to last since it’s a gold box deal. Looks like they have other tech things at good prices too.

Update: Looks like some other big sites linked to the deal. It’s all gone now.

The new Xbox 360 update brings improvements and new features to Netflix. The video above is a little tour of the new Netflix. It’s very cool that there is a party mode where you can invite friends and watch together. Probably not an everyday thing but a very interesting idea. I could see it being incorporated with Project Natal so you wouldn’t have to select laugh it would pick up that you were laughing. The new interface also allows you to browse available titles not just what you add to your instant queue. I have been waiting for that feature on the Roku box.

The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show got a demo of Microsoft’s Project Natal. It allows you to play video games by moving your body. You don’t have to hold any controllers like the Wii. The demo looked pretty impressive. I would have to buy an Xbox 360 when this comes out. The driving game would be cool but I think it would be tough holding up your foot to control the gas peddle.
