I still think that but the review from Gizmodo shows that there is a lot of improvements still. The price is still high but I’m sure after a few software updates the device will be better.

There aren’t a lot of steps to accomplish this. The one worry that I have, that commenters pointed out too, is that each time a new version comes out you will have to go back through the steps. But it gives you a great way to play older games on your TV.

I’m not much of a gamer but the Spawn Labs HD-720 looks pretty cool. It’s like a slingbox for your video games. It’s not cheap at $200 but if you really have to have your video games this might be a solution for you. You can buy adapters for Xbox 360, PS3 and some others for $40 a piece.

A little hacking and you can backup and run Wii games off an external hard drive. You won’t have to worry about scratching your discs and load times will be faster. I read through the directions and it seems easy enough if you follow the directions carefully. You need the HomeBrew channel installed. Visit Lifehacker for all the links on how to get it installed and also getting the HomeBrew channel installed. I haven’t done any hacking to my Wii yet but these kind of things make me want too.
