Myna is a pretty cool web-based utility to mix multiple audio sources together. The video above is a demo of the service. I’m surprised that it’s free and that it offers so much. Audacity has been my multi-track editor but for just simple editing I’m going to be trying out Myna. Plus I won’t have to worry about installing software.

Looks like Microsoft’s Silverlight will be powering March Madness Online in HD. It seems like Silverlight is called in when they need to do some heavy streaming. I thought the Olympics went very well streaming with Silverlight. March Madness always draws everyone’s attention. I’m sure someone has some stats on how productivity at work drops. If you’re not one of those people that take off to watch every game, you can fire up those web browsers, at work, and watch in HD. That’s what I’ll be doing.

The biggest change Microsoft made with live today is bumping storage from 5GB to 25GB.  That’s for all your photos.  Which photos has been redone with a slideshow feature built on silverlight.  Other improvements to live are the social networking features.  You can view what you and your friends are doing online.  Groups is a new section that will allow you to share things with members and have a shared calendar.  I logged in and the improvements look good.  I don’t have any friends on live so I can’t check out the sharing feature.

With Thanksgiving just past and Christmas right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about gifts for the holiday season.  If you have never checked out Scrapblog, it might be something you could use for someone on your Christmas list.  Scrapblog is most easily described as a digital scrapbook.  It allows you complete creative freedom to design a scrapbook that is one-of-a-kind.  The cool thing about Scrapblog, is that it now allows you not only to create wonderful digital scrapblogs, but it also allows you to print your creation as either a memory book or as a greeting or post card.

I absolutely love this site. I have created several Scrapblogs on the site to share with friends and family.  It is very easy to create and the possibilities really are endless.  One of my favorite features of Scrapblog is the compatibility it has with all of the other sites I use.  It allows to you to grab and post to and from some other very popular sites, Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket, Picasa, WordPress, Blogger, Webshots, and SmugMug.

With the new addition of printing now available, I may just have to add this to my to-do list for the holiday season.  I love the idea or being able to create some absolutely amazing Christmas cards which are uniquely my own and add a personal touch unlike any card I could buy.  And who wouldn’t love a memory book filled with pictures of friends and family with a personal touch on every page.  Everything you create is uniquely your own and that’s what I love most about it.

The service itself is free and allows you to create as many online Scrapblogs as you want.  You can share them with friends and family, and don’t forget to embed them in your blog!!  It allows you to embed videos into your pages and add music.  As for the printed creations, they are very reasonable and comparable to other sites that offer similar products.  So, if you’re looking for a great gift for the holiday season, or just looking to create a book of endless memories, Scrapblog is the place to go.

Amazon has launched WindowShop to help you find music, movies, TV shows and books.  I think it’s a really cool idea as you can watch or listen to previews from the current window.  It focuses on new releases and the only navigation is arrow keys or clicking the next tile.  They need to add some additional features to make it useful but to stumble accross the new releases it’s a neat idea.

With MP3Tunes you can now access your MP3′s on the Wii. You do have to use the music locker service provided by MP3Tunes though. There was a client created for the Wii using MP3Tunes open API. If your interested in other ways to get content to your Wii check out this previous post.

With all the new releases by Nintendo today I thought I would share something you can do with your Wii while you are waiting for the retail launch of the new products. Everyone knows that the Xbox 360 is the best media center extender but what if you only own a Wii. The programs listed below will get your started, streaming about any type of content to the Wii. Each program has it’s pros and cons. I suggest trying each one until you find the perfect one or combination for you. My personal favorite and the reason why I put it at 1 is Orb. But after 1 the list is in no particular order.

Stream Pad allows you to stream your music with a web browser. So if your like a lot of people and want to listen to all your music at work that you have at home then try it out. It is still in beta but has lots of features. The problem with these types of services is that you have to have your computer on all the time at home.

Well I was tired of switching back and forth from iTunes to other applications. I did a little searching and feel I found the best free application for iTunes control in the menu bar. It is You Control: Tunes. It is free but requires registration. You provide your name and email and they will send you a serial number. I haven’t gotten spam from them but it might be worth using one of those email accounts that you use to register products with.

You Control: Tunes places the forward, back and play/pause button in the menu. It doesn’t matter what application your in you can easily change the track. You can change the way the buttons look. It is worth looking into if you use iTunes a lot.
