Microsoft is doing some really cool things lately. The video above shows five different multi-touch mice. Mice probably don’t seem that impressive but the way that we interact with a computer is changing. It’s cool to see some different prototypes of what Microsoft thinks the next input device will be. It’s possible that none of these will make it to market but I’m sure at least some parts will make it to our everyday lives. CrunchGear has more detail on the mice.

BumpTop, the 3D desktop environment has added multi-touch gestures. The video above shows it in action. I have some multi-touch laptops coming soon and will have to play around with the new version. BumpTop has added multi-touch gestures that aren’t available on any other device. You can “lasso” things, “shove” them, “scrunch” them, and “crop” them. Pretty amazing stuff.
