Tom’s hardware did a post on building a $300 computer. The catch is they compared an AMD system vs. an Intel system. I was really surprised with the results. The Intel Celeron outperformed the AMD sempron. I was really interested in buying the Sempron for a basic machine that would be low on power consumption. Looks like I should reconsider the Celeron. If your in the market for building a cheap computer head over there and check it out.
