Amazon has a new page up that says Kindle Apps is coming to tablets including the iPad. The screenshots look pretty good but will it be a native iPad app? I think they are going to create a browser based version that’s how they can be so confident that it will be on the iPad. If it’s a native app they might have trouble getting it approved by Apple. There have been other apps that got rejected for duplicating Apple’s services. Right now it looks good and I like the direction Amazon is going with this. Tablet computers are going to start seeing mainstream action and Amazon will be right there to provide you reading material.

Amazon has free one-day shipping on the kindle. If you’re a late shopper there is still time. I am just imagining Kindles in boxes scattered all over the world ready to be sent to their final destination. If you are in the market, having it tomorrow at no extra charge is great.

Most online retailers have some sort of sale today. Below are some of the specials going on.

Amazon always has good prices and they have extra deals for Cyber Monday. For instance the gold box buy is the 8GB iPod touch for $158. The lightning deals will be going on all day. While some of the items aren’t announced yet there are a few laptops on there.

Newegg always has great prices on electronics. They are still offering a under $100 Blu-Ray player for LG. Lots of other computer components if you are planning on building a computer.

Buy.com has a few good deals. They have a slingbox for 35% off.

ThinkGeek has free shipping on all orders $25 or more. Use coupon code CYBERMONDAY.

Amazon has been running specials that start every hour. There are a lot of different things to pick from. You really can get a present for everyone in your family.

Newegg.com has a lot of tech deals going on today. Lots of TVs and even the LG Blu-Ray player for under $100. And if you’re a PC builder there are lots of computer components. I was hoping for 50% off a Core i7.

Buy.com has another big selection of tech products. Nothing jumped out at me looking at the list but everyone is looking for something a little different.

Apple has discounted computers. They are on par with educational discounts. Might not be as good as Amazon prices on Apple gear but I always buy my Macs through Apple.

Think Geek for the person that has everything. There are a lot of gadget toys. Who wouldn’t want a USB rocket launcher.

There are also giveaways going on. Engadget is giving away things right now. All you have to do is leave a comment. As of typing this up there have been three giveaways. If I find other sites I will update this. If anyone knows any giveaways leave a not in the comments.

Update: Engadget will be giving away a HP Envy 15 and a HTC HD2.

Amazon is going to offer DRM-free MP3s on it’s music site. They didn’t give a release date or pricing. They also said they have 12,000 labels but the only one they mentioned is EMI. This might be a lot of hype over something that could be worthless. If they are planning on selling at $1.29 then they better rethink. They need to use this as an opportunity to steal market away from apple. MP3 format is a start but they would need 99 cent pricing. I’ll hope for the best.

You can pre-order Windows Vista on Amazon.com. So if you want Vista as soon as you can then be the first to pre-order. Then wait awhile to get it. I don’t see when it is suppose to be available to you. You can also save money by buying Vista and Office together.
