Build Your Own Ambilight TV
This is a really cool project that creates a Phillips Ambilight TV with a few LED bars. It’s a plug-and-play system that uses the a HTPC to control the LEDs. Complete directions over at fun3’s blog. This might be a project I have to play around with.

Would it be possible to do this with an analog video input (RCA, VGA), or even a digital video input (DVI, HDMI) as opposed to a USB connection from a computer?
I have several inputs that I’d like to run this through for my home theater, and my receiver’s got a “monitor” or “preview” output that would be perfect for this..
