Build a Cheap Boxee Box Now

Even though Boxee is going to announce details about a Boxee Box on December 7th, you can still build a cheap Boxee Box now. Lifehacker has come through again with a great how-to on building a Boxee Box for $350. That’s $150 more than the XBMC build they posted about but it is considerable more powerful. The how-to covers everything you will need to get going, even a few convenient things that you might not have thought of. I almost purchased the revo from the first post but was worried about it being underpowered. The ASRock ION 330 might be a better choice at dual core and overclock switch in bios to 2.2GHz. I’ll probably just wait until Boxee makes the announcement though.
