Boxee is XBMC with a Fresh Look
Boxee is XBMC with a new look and some social features. I have been trying to get in on the closed alpha but haven’t had any luck. Right now the program is for OS X but they have plans to bring it to Linux and Windows.
Some of the social features are it will share what your are watching or listening too with your friends. It will also display what your friends are watching. It also integrates into twitter, friendfeed and tumblr. I’m not sure I want to tweet “Jeremy is watching porn” but it’s nice to see some cool features. It also displays popular online content. From what I can tell Hulu isn’t one of the programs it can stream from.
Boxee looks like it already has some really nice features, especially for a alpha release. I’ll continue my pursuit for an invite.
