Boxee Gets More Funding

Boxee has raised $6 million in funding for content and CE devices. They have already added MLB.TV to their line-up so now they need to look at a set-top box. In order to make it to mainstream you need to be on the TV not just the computer. I know they are on AppleTV but it’s limited hardware that can’t play everything. I would like to see them partner up with a media streaming company like Popcorn Hour. Popcorn Hour has plenty of power to play anything HD but the UI is horrible in my opinion. I have liked Boxee from the beginning and I’m glad to see that they get some more money to make the product better.
